ISAIAH Weeklong Leadership Training 2018

ISAIAH's Weeklong Leadership Training will allow you to reflect upon your exp training will allow you to reflect upon your experiences and what it means for you to be a leader in the public arena.  You will engage with other participants in a learning community that emphasizes self-reflection, introspection, and mutual inquiry.

You can expect to:

  • Learn more about yourself, your own stories, and your own motivations
  • Develop the skill of learning the stories & motivations of others
  • Create the capacity to draw other people to yourself in teams
  • Wrestle with what it takes to create change in the public arena
  • Engage in work that analyzes how power operates in public life
  • Discover how to craft and lead effective action that wins real change for real people
  • Learn about the dynamic field of community organizing & your role in creating powerful organizations
  • Build the capacity to raise money to sustain organizations that are vehicles for making our vision a reality in the public arena
  • Develop an analysis about racial equity and health as a frame for organizing work

Where:  Kahler Grand Hotel, 20 2nd Ave SW, Rochester, MN.

When:  Sunday, June 17--Friday,June 22, 2018.  Weeklong begins at 7:00 pm on Sunday (check-in begins at 3 pm; please arrive at least an hour before) and ends at 3:00 pm on Friday.

Housing:  PLEASE NOTE:  All rooms will be double rooms.  *This means that you will be sharing a room with another participant.*

Cost:  $650 for non-profit members; $1000 for others.  This includes all meals, lodging, and the training.  A limited number of scholarships are available.  A $100 non-refundable deposit is due within 2 weeks of your registration.

Other:  Particpants are responsible for their own transportation to the training.  If you need assistance, please contact your organizer, or the person who invited you.
